For the past week I’ve been reading the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs, and I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed them. The books belong to my son and I asked him if he had a series I could read–something fun, interesting, preferably not super serious or super long but just enough to keep me busy. (I’m trying to quit smoking and the busier my mind is the better…)

I’m not quite finished with the series yet, but I think when I’m done with this series I’ll take a shot a reading one of Briggs’ other series. I like her writing style, her dialogue, and her characters. She’s done quite a bit of research and it shows, and I hope the rest of her books are as enjoyable as this series.

Right now I’m on River Marked. I’m off to read a little before the grandson wakes up. Last load of laundry for the day is in the dryer :D
