I’m actually planning my own wedding. No wedding planner for this bride-to-be. But I had no idea of what to do so I did some research. Went to the bookstore and found a few books…
1. DIY Wedding
3. Groomology (for David)
***The book I still want: Offbeat Bride
I’ve got a few notebooks I’ve been keeping lists in, but have finally gotten myself a binder. Ummm, yes. A white binder with a clear protective thing on the outside so I can put a picture or a checklist or something on the front of it, I also have dividers, those clear protective sheet covers so I can put paper I don’t want to get messed up inside (had some left over from school supplies), and I’m going to get one of those little zipper pocket things like I got my kids when they were elementary school. I can’t believe I’m going all out like this, but I’ve noticed that I’m not nearly organized enough (I have too many notebooks), and I have pics of stuff all over the place, PLUS, I’ve been reading other blogs and noticing that a lot of brides are doing this and it’s making things much easier for them.
I’m all about working smarter not harder, and lately I’ve been too unorganized to work smarter. So here go, into the never-never land of being my own DIY wedding planner. I have also been thinking about using my corkboard as a real life inspiration board instead of relying on the computer.
