So I’ve been researching inexpensive ways to throw a rehearsal dinner and so far I’ve come up with quite a few interesting and delightful ideas:
These are all meals you can fix yourself or get take out to have at your own home or someone else’s that are easy and inexpensive. For example, with the spaghetti you could make a huge pot of spaghetti, make a salad, some garlic bread, and serve wine, tea, beer, and or a variety of other beverages. Or with Wings you could have a veggie tray, cheese platter, beer, etc…Or with the pizza order a variety of pizzas (meat lovers, supreme, pepperoni, etc) along with beer, wine, tea, and maybe something like brownies or cupcakes for dessert.
We’re thinking of only inviting immediate family, the wedding party, and the officiant, as well as those who have a part in the wedding (singer, guitar soloist, etc). David is seriously considering the wings and once I’ve given it some thought I think it will be perfect, especially if we also have a veggie tray, cheese tray, fruit tray, meatballs, pinwheels, rolls, beer, wine, and tea, along with brownies and cupcakes and coffee. A variety of things for everyone. We might have to borrow a few chairs or stools, but that will be okay. I’ll find a pretty tablecloth, flowers, and some candles. We’ll get a few inexpensive outdoor chairs for those who want to hang out on the porch or in the yard (smokers). I’m sure we can find some that are cheap but cute. Guess I’ll be heading to Goodwill, Re-Habitat, etc…
The plans are finally coming together!!!!
