Creating sheet music rose bouquets and boutonnieres

20 Aug

I’m working on the sheet music rose bouquets, then I’ll be making the boutonnieres, and I’m thinking about adding a few silk flowers in with the sheet music roses, and I’m adding a miniature acoustic guitar to David’s boutonniere–I’m so excited, he’s going to love it. Creating the sheet music roses is really time consuming. I’m worried that I might not have them all completed in time. The bouquets are also keepsakes for my bridal party so I want them to be really nice. I’ve done quite a bit of research regarding the finished product of sheet music or paper flower bouquets,

so I know how it should look. I had seriously thought about getting guitar picks to help with the boutonnieres, I thought those would be more in keeping with the theme on his part, but he doesn’t really like them (and doesn’t use a guitar pick), so we scratched that idea.

I’m making the bridal party’s bouquets, the MOB and MOG, as well as my own bouquet, out of the sheet music. That way they can keep them. We’re also spraying painting all the jars we’ve saved and then putting musical notes on the jars so they match. I’m really hoping they like them. 🙂

    I love the music roses!
Have a really wonderful wedding, and may you have decades of happiness.
    Here’s an idea:
An almost as important day to plan is your tenth wedding anniversary.
Get a diary, label it 2022, and then put a big heart shape with music notes to play the song, ‘My love is like a red, red rose’ on the date..
Then 6 months before, begin to plan the occasion, and invite everyone who will be at your wedding to be at your tenth anniversary party. You’ll probably have added scores of new friends as well, by then.
Then do the same for the 20th, the 30th, etc, and when you reach the 50th, which I am nearlly up to, what a party!!!! And you’ll look back at your wedding day with such delight.

My wedding was in a far country, in a registry office, with only 3 people present, but all these decades on, we look back at it as being a really beautiful and special occasion.

Thank you. I’ve been making a journal, (lately though I just have stuff that needs to be put in it), to keep during our marriage, it’s for both of us, and it does have sheet music on it. I covered an inexpensive journal I bought with scrap-paper and put a few pics in their, a few poems, some song lyrics, some fortune cookies we got out on a few dates, our story of our first date and our engagement (the proposal story), and once the wedding is over I’ll put pics of our wedding stuff in it as well as a few wedding pics. We’ve decided to buy a bottle of wine every year on our anniversary and write each other a letter and seal it in an envelope to open on our anniversary. Each year we’ll write a new letter (a letter of appreciation, love, gratitude) and drink the wine out of the champagne flutes we’ve been given as a wedding present (they are real Waterford crystal that my aunt found at an antique store–they’ve never been used and came in the prettiest box). I like the idea of having a “party” to celebrate every 10 years we’re together…Just don’t think it will be as big as this wedding.

I think the sheet music flowers are just plain kick ass~!! And I love the idea of an anniversary bottle of wine and love notes.

Don’t lose sight of each others needs.

Thank you so much.I didn’t get the bottle of wine and love notes box in time; however, we made the decision to celebrate our anniversary every year with an appreciation letter and a bottle of wine, which is just as good! And you wouldn’t believe the number of people that want(ed) me to make those sheet music roses for them. I could probably sell them, LOL!
