Since we got back from our honeymoon and got our wedding pictures I’ve been working on a scrapbook for David’s sister that lives out-of-state and wasn’t able to attend our wedding. I wanted her to feel like she was a part of things, and the only way to do that was to make her a scrapbook. I just finished it (well for the most part). I need a few days away from it so I can look at it with fresh eyes to see what I need to add or change before we mail it (along with a few other things in what is going to end up being a care package of sorts). I’ve been spending the last week going through a ton of ink and photo paper, and now I’m rethinking things: like, maybe I should take the memory card somewhere and have the pictures printed out, at least the bulk of them, and save myself some time and money. This is, of course, only my second attempt at scrapbooking (I made someone a scrapbook a long time ago), so I’m still really new at this. I’ve spend the past few days online searching scrapbooking blogs, etc trying to find ideas, etc.
I’ve come across quite a few that I really like, as well a few tutorials, and as I research more I’ll eventually post my favorites in case there are any other scrapbook beginners out there wondering the nevernever “net” land of scrapbooking ideas.
I’m also thinking about adding vertical shelves to my dining room, above my desk so I can put supplies there, and utilize the space better. Right now I need to organize things so I can figure out the best way to do this combination craft room/study/dining room thing. For example, check out http://domesticdoozie.blogspot.com/2012/07/craft-room-reveal.html. I’m trying to figure out what I want to do, what color to paint the wall, etc. Will post pic of dining room before picture soon.
