So I was reading posts from blogs that I (recently) follow, since my scrapbooking obsession developed, and I ran across a post by Ali Edwards that inspired me. So I’m going to follow along…
I am watching Family Under Construction on the DIY channel. I love DIY stuff, whether it’s home improvements, crafting, painting, refurbishing, organizing, home or wedding decor, etc.
I’m still at work, though technically I get off in a few minutes I’m waiting for David to get off work and he’s working a little late so I’ll be here a little while longer.
I’ve been researching used convertible cars for sale within a 100 mile radius of where we live so we can look over them tomorrow evening and decide where we want to go car shopping Saturday morning. (So far I’ve found a few really good deals.)
I began making my own version of a Smash Book this morning out a recycled hardcover book. I like the idea of keeping the pages of the book inside of it to use as background. Some I will cover completely but most I won’t. I’m super excited about it. I’ll download pics of it later.
Last night I didn’t cook, we ordered Chinese food, but tonight I am going to cook pasta with shrimp and veggies, and some salmon, with garlic sticks. I just need to stop by the grocery store to get a bag of tri-color noodles, garlic sticks, and the salmon steaks.
I’m contemplating the DIY projects I can do without David since he’s seriously considering going back on the road. I want to do some stuff that will surprise him and make him happy. I love him so much and I want to do something nice for him so I think I’m going to start with the living room. I’m seriously considering painting an accent wall dark blue (since that is his favorite color–sapphire blue). I want to have some of his favorite pictures printed in black and white, matte them in white and put them in dark expresso colored frames and put those on the dark blue wall. I love planning stuff so getting it all planned out and putting that stuff (pics of what I want along with sketches of what I would like to do) in my new DIY Smash book will be fun.
I’m enjoying the change in weather. I love Fall/Autumn. It’s my favorite time of year. But I really need to go through all my clothes and bag up stuff to donate, box up summer stuff to store, and get my Fall and Winter clothes out of the attic. (I’m dreading that.)
I will have been married exactly 4 weeks this Saturday, our 1 month anniversary is October 8th, so I’m excited about celebrating that.
In closing, I’d like to say think you to Ali Edwards for inspiring me to document what is going on around here…
