It’s absolutely beautiful weather here in South Carolina right now. No, the leaves aren’t changing colors quite yet, but the temperature has dropped, it’s still sunny but there’s a slight breeze, and the humidity is all but gone. I’m looking forward to the leaves changing colors, and I’m looking forward to going to Sumter’s Fair this weekend, and then Charleston’s Fair the end of October, as well as a wedding that David is the best man in on Halloween (it’s an Adam’s Family Wedding and David is dressing up as Uncle Fester, which means he’s shaving his head and goatee and I’ll be using white face paint on him, though I’m not quite sure of what I’m dressing as yet). I’ve been looking at costumes online this past week, and this weekend we’ll be looking at costumes in Walmart, Target, etc. I’m really excited about the wedding. =)
I’ve been thinking of ways I can organize the house better. The best way to do that is take the dining room table out of our dining room and use the stools at the kitchen counter/bar if we want to eat there, place vertical shelving above the desk, rearrange the bookcases in the dining room and add some more personal artwork to the walls. I want to paint the walls, just not sure of what color I want to paint them. The flooring is a faded red and the cabinets are a medium Oak color. Maybe a pretty taupe or grey or tan. Before I start the project I’ll take pictures and post pictures as I complete stuff. A work in progress. Tonight I’ll be taking pictures of the scrapbooks I’m making so I can post them.
More good news: this Saturday David and I are going vehicle shopping. We’re going to trade his truck in and get me a vehicle…and he said he wants to get something I really want. He’s so sweet. I’ve never had anyone want to do something so nice for me before. Someone who loves me so much. Last weekend we went car window shopping, so to speak. We went while the dealerships were closed so we could look around. I looked at small SUV’s, because that is what seems to be realistic and logical, but evidently as long as we have a back seat and room for the grandbaby and Kayla (David’s daughter, then we’re good, so I get to look at what I want.) A convertible. A bug/beetle. So here are the ones I’ve been looking at:
