I’ve written in journals, diary’s for as long as I can remember. Though I haven’t saved them (I know, I know, but once that time period was up in my life I moved on to the next one), but now that I’ve gotten into scrapbooking, I find myself interested in art journaling. I love scrapbooking, but I tend to want to put more journaling in them, so while researching journaling for scrapbooking I found information about art journaling. I love the pages I’ve seen on art journaling from the web and from pinterest. Art journaling looks like it’s right up my alley. I love creative stuff. Any and all creative stuff. From DIY home decor, painting the walls, photography, scrapbooking, journaling, writing poetry, reading, card making, etc.
So I’ve decided to join this: http://balzerdesigns.typepad.com/balzer_designs/2010/12/art-journal-every-day.html
It’s about art journaling everyday. I love her pages. I bought a smash book, it’s my starter art journal. If this one goes well then I’ll get one of those nice moleskin journals, and then later on a leather journal. I like the idea of doing this every day, or maybe every other day when things are extremely hectic. Being creative, and having anxiety and ADHD, means having an outlet, or three, to help keep me busy and to channel my excess energy, though cleaning and organizing is something I do when I feel really anxious. It helps keep me sane and happy–creative outlets, that is.
I need lots of supplies, but I’ll get them bit by bit. And luckily, I can use scrapbooking supplies for art journaling, and art journaling supplies for scrapbooking. Thank the goddess for Michael’s coupons, Big Lots, thrift stores, Wal-Mart, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, etc.
So I’m going to get back to my journaling, after I research what supplies I need a bit more. Hope everyone has a great day!
