Around here…

26 Oct

Once I realized I was in love with David I was a little overwhelmed. I wasn’t quite ready to be in love with anyone, and I wasn’t quite ready to be in a “relationship,” but I was absolutely crazy about him, in love with him, and I wanted to be with him and around him all the time (which was unusual for me). That was over a year ago. We’ve been married almost 7 weeks now, together for 16 months. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I can’t imagine my life without him. But! if you’d asked me 2 years ago if I’d be crazy in love and married I’d have said No Way! And now here I am happily married.

Not only am I happily married, but I also have a 3 month old grandson, and I wasn’t sure if I’d ever be a grandmother. He’s so adorable! I love the lil’ man so much. And David is such an awesome grandpa…or as he likes to call himself…Daedae. Around here we’re big into family! David’s daughter will be with this weekend. She’ll be 13 in December, and my daughter just turned 21, and my son is 24…So we have a decent sized family.

Around here, we’re also big into food. We love to eat, and we like a variety of foods. For example, last night I made buttermilk pancakes and bacon, and chocolate chip muffins for dinner. I love having breakfast for dinner. When my children were small I made breakfast for dinner at least once or twice a week. And David and I do the same thing. Not sure of what we’re having tonight.

Around here, we also enjoy live music. David’s the lead singer in a band and plays guitar, and I grew up listening to my uncles play the guitar and sing so listening to live music is one of the past-times we both truly enjoy.

Around here, we tell each other we love each other every day.

Around here, we have open and honest communication.

Around here, we value friendship.

Around here today, my new (used) car is at the dealership because they are fixing the small oil leak and the headlight (it’s making a loud noise when the light flips down)…Glad we realized it had a small oil leak when we were test driving it. You always take a risk when you buy a used car so I’m really glad we were thorough when we were checking it out. I’m waiting on them to call me to let me know when it’s ready. I’m really hoping it will be ready this afternoon or the very max by tomorrow morning. We’re supposed to be going to my mom and dad’s to visit tomorrow.
