Daily Prompt: Seconds  Describe the most satisfying meal you’ve ever eaten, in glorious detail.

I finished brunch about 2 hours ago and it was delicious. My husband is home from work today because of the weather so we slept in, then he made coffee and breakfast. I’d use it, because the company was awesome and amazing, and the food was delicious: bacon crispy but perfect, scrambled eggs, cinnamon toast, and grits (yes, we’re in the SOUTH, lol). But it’s not the most satisfying meal I’ve ever eaten so…

wedding, honeymoon, baby 057While we were on our honeymoon we went to Bubba Gump’s for lunch and the food tasted absolutely divine, but you don’t get much for your money. But we went to Ruby Tuesday’s and had the most delicious appetizer (spinach artichoke dip with nachos), then absolutely delicious salad’s (their salad bar was fresh and had a lot choices), and then we had steaks with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies (zucchini, squash, and onions) and then we split a dessert (chocolate, chocolate, chocolate)…Maybe it was the company, maybe it was because it was our honeymoon, maybe it was because we were both starving…because we’ve eaten at different Ruby Tuesday’s and while they are good restaurants it’s by far not on my top five list. But that night the meal as so delicious we were still talking about it the next day.

So I think, sometimes, it is more about the company, as well as the food.

I have to agree it was probably the company. On the other hand I love the south, the people, the food, why I don’t live there I don’t know………good post!!. thanks for the ping back

You’re quite welcome. I also love shrimp and grits, which you can pretty much only get here in the south. OH yeah, and sweet iced tea. 😀

oh what I wouldn’t give for some grits from the south. I used to live in Ky until my brother got too ill and we came home to Indiana. My dream is always to return to the south

I have a cousin in Indiana, it took her a while to adjust. Mr. Rockstar’s sister lives in Utah and she misses bbq, etc…
