Beginning of Day 3 of Camp NaNoWriMo

Writing first thing when you get up…

It’s actually the end of my day 2 because I haven’t gone to bed yet, but I’m about to. I’m having a glass of wine, a much needed relax moment for me. My word count total as of right now is 8155. Granted my novel is going to need quite a bit of editing. But I’m now on Chapter 3, though I didn’t follow my outline for Chapter 2–the MC was not ready to meet her love interest yet, and the outline was stifling my words so I just put it to the side and forgot all about it and wrote. It was really nice to be able to do that. To let the words flow. So I’ve been up for almost 24 hours with a few naps in between and I was so wound up with writing I couldn’t go to sleep.

Late-at-Night

Late-at-Night

Now I’m finally feeling the exhaustion and I’m ready to crash. I’ll be right back at it tomorrow. I hadn’t realized what a great experience this would be, but so far it is. I feel like a Writer! I am writing! And so what if it ends up crap, I’ll just keep writing until I get it right. I’ll most likely be doing the Camp again in July and then NaNoWriMo in November. I’m hooked.

It’s pushing me as a writer, and I enjoy the writing community, and I’ve found most people are so helpful and inspiring and motivating. And now I’m starting to ramble I’m so tired so I’m going to cut this short.

I do miss the Daily Prompts though and I think if I might just have to choose either today’s (yesterday’s) or tomorrow’s (today’s) and write a post.

Yeah to us NaNoWriMo chicks! And I am also an early-morning writer – I’ll be setting my alarm for 5 AM for this whole month.

Hey, wanna cheer each other on??

Sure.I can use all the cheering I can get.
I slept in today, since I was up until the wee hours of the morning finishing Chapter 2, but tomorrow morning I’ll be up early 😀 to write. Today I’m working on Chapter 3 but word count goal for today is 1000 words.

1000 words is great – and it’s almost my bedtime here. But I’ll be up at 5 am, with a cup of coffee, trying to be creative. Good luck and write your heart out!

Thanks! We’ll catch up tomorrow – there are 6 hours between us, so I’m off to bed in an hour or so, after a cup of tea and a nice hot shower…

        Happy writing!
