Daily Prompt: Turn, Turn, Turn

by michelle w. on April 8, 2013

For many of us, winter is blooming into spring, or fall hardening into winter. Which season do you most look forward to?

Snoopy loves SpringMy favorite seasons are spring and fall. When winter is blooming into spring I get motivated. I want to clean and organize (I get that whole Spring Cleaning Fever). I’m ready to paint the walls in the house giving each room a different color. I want to plant flowers and a garden. I want to start walking every morning or afternoon (I dislike walking in the winter). I want to wash my car and clean it out (every weekend). I want to sunbath. I want to get a pool (this year I’m just going to go ahead and get a kiddy pool, one of those bigger ones that you have to blow up and that will be that until we can afford to get a REAL pool whether it is above or below ground doesn’t matter to me). And I want to get a hammock so I can read while in my hammock on the really nice days.

Snoopy loves AutumnIn fall I want to build a bonfire, roast marshmallows, and take pictures of the beautiful colors of fall leaves. I want to have coffee mocha latte with cool whip and look out the window at the beautiful world…Then I want to get a cozy sweater and go outside and enjoy the smell of fall, the beautiful scenery… I also want to go on long walks. And I want to hang out by the bonfire with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee with Bailey’s Irish Liquor and listen to Mr. Rockstar play the guitar and sing. 😀

I’m not sure that I can choose between the two seasons though, and right now I pretty much don’t have to because it’s Spring but it feels more like Fall.

If the pollen was not so strong here this year I would be loving this 70’s Spring weather…Thank you for the ping back.

There’s so much I want to do in the spring time, too. 🙂 I like the hammock idea, though. I might not be able to do that but I can still sit outside my building with a book or a computer. And I absolutely love drinking coffee outside, especially early in the morning.

Me too! 😀 But I could lay in a hammock pretty much all year round and read a book (I’d just have to have one of those lap blankets for when it’s cold) unless it’s snowing or extremely cold. And I drink coffee all year round. 😀

I’m an autumn baby, I love jumping in the leaves and embarassing my kids 🙂
